IN AN APPEARANCE ON CNN THIS MORNING… THE GOVERNOR SAID… HE WAS THINKING ABOUT A RUN FOR THE WHITE HOUSE. <“I REALLY DON’T HAVE A TIMELINE. I’M SPENDING A LOT OF TIME NATURALLY TRYING TO GROW THE PARTY AS REPUBLICANS, TALK TO INDEPENDENTS, TALK TO THE NEXT GENERATION OF POTENTIAL REPUBLICAN VOTERS THAT RIGHT NOW NO ONE IS REALLY REACHING OUT TO. Sunday morning, Gov. Chris Sununu told CNN he’s considering a White House bid in 2024.This comes as former President Donald Trump’s campaign for the 2024 Republican nomination is officially off-and-running.On Saturday, Trump kicked things off with a visit to Salem for the annual meeting of New Hampshire Republicans.>> Former President Donald Trump kicks off presidential campaign in New HampshireGov. I’m spending a lot of time naturally trying to grow the party as Republicans, talk to Independents, talk to the next generation of potential Republican voters that right now, no one is really reaching out to,” Sununu said on CNN. “But I think we have a lot of hope and optimism and a way to want to be a part of our team and they should want to be on our team.” Sununu also address Trump’s stop in New Hampshire, saying he would have to prove himself again to Granite State voters.”He comes to New Hampshire, he gives, frankly, a very mundane speech. The response we received was, he read his teleprompter, he stuck to his talking points, he went away,” Sununu said. “So he’s not really bringing that fire, that energy that a lot of folks saw in ’16. In a lot of ways, I think it was a little disappointing to some folks, even he acknowledged it wasn’t his best. He came to a pre-determined crowd, not one of his big rallies. So, I think a lot of folks understand that he’s gonna be a candidate, but he’s also gonna have to earn it. And that’s New Hampshire. Even if you’re the former president, you have to come and earn it, person-to-person.”Despite the fact that Sununu could become a challenger for the Republican nomination, Trump did not mention him during his visit. So far, former President Donald Trump is the only high-profile Republican to have officially filed for a 2024 White House run.However, several others, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, are considering challenging him for the nomination.
